Crawford Satellite & Electronics was founded in 1954 as Crawford Television Sales and Service, by Allan and Lois Crawford of El Cerrito, California.
In 1982, Allan and Lois's son, David Crawford, and his wife, Diana, assumed full-time management of the company.
Along with television sales and service, the business also did quite a bit of master antenna work, design and installation, and sound system installation. By 1984, it became obvious that television repair was no longer cost-effective due to the advances in technology, so David decided to branch into the booming satellite market.
In 2000, our business grew once again with the help of our son, Robert Crawford, who added a fresh perspective along with his telecommunications skills, which enabled us to better serve our customers' ever growing needs. Since then we've added several more family members to our crew, as well as some outside technicians who have become like family, in order to bring many levels of expertise to the table.
We still maintain a registration number with the Bureau of Electronics and Appliance Repair and we also hold a California contractor license: Class C7 - Low Voltage. Since we employ a small but elite group of people, we carry workers' compensation insurance as well as both business liability and auto insurance.
- Our goal is to solve problems - every problem - one step at a time.
